The resulting project being named as a finalist for the 2010 Pulitzer Prize in Feature Photography. Jonathan Ernst joined the staff at Reuters in 2015 after 20 years of combined newspaper and freelance experience. His grant-funded project explores income inequality in Nairboi and Washington, D.C.
