The Center for Strategic and International Studies and the Miller Center of Public Affairs at the University of Virginia and invite you to an event on "The Way Ahead with China" to be held on March 29, 2011. The event will commemorate the 10-year anniversary of the Hainan Island Incident.

Admiral Joseph W. Prueher (USN, ret)--the United States Ambassador to China at that time and presently the Schlesinger Distinguished Professor at the Miller Center--will host the presentation and rollout of a report with recommendations focused on further solidifying and improving the course of diplomatic, business, military and cultural relations with the Middle Kingdom.

Charles Freeman and Mike Lampton, who participated in the roundtable led by Admiral Prueher to brainstorm these recommendations, will serve as discussants.
