A Votre Sante: A Tasting Journey Through the History of Botanical Spirits

Dwight Grimm, Vermouthier & founder of The Little Alchemist Farm, Preston Hollow, NY
The practice of imbibing botanical beverages for medicinal and recreational purposes is as ancient and storied as human history itself. Join us for a tasting journey that follows the path of several of the most revered and misunderstood drinking botanicals from antiquity to the present day, including varietals of wormwood and cinchona bark. We will also take a peek at the efforts of contemporary 'cocktail archeologists' to revive and re-create botanical formulas of forgotten beverages. Small bites will be served to accompany the tasting journey.
