      Readers2Leaders: Empowering Women Through Literacy

      This free personal development event is designed to equip Washington, DC-area women with the literacy tools needed to thrive at home, at work, and throughout their lives.

      Cost: Whether you are looking to help others improve these skills or grow these skills yourselves, you will appreciate motivational TED-style talks, group workshops, and exhibitions featuring best-selling authors Aimee Agresti, author of Campaign Widows and Thomas Mallon, author of political fiction including Watergate and Finale; fitness instructor and breathwork facilitator Kathleen Kulikowski; Dr. Kelly Morgan, motivational and health coach; speakers from the Washington Literacy Center and Consumer Financial Protection Bureau’s Office of Financial Education; and more! Plus free food, door prizes, and kid-friendly activities for your little ones. Hosted by the Junior League of Washington, one of DC’s leading women’s service and leadership organizations, this event is targeted to women, but all are welcome to come learn about foundational, workplace, financial, nutritional, and digital literacy. The Junior League of Washington strives in all endeavors to be sensitive to the special needs of its members and guests.
