      Organizing Basics: Building a Base

      Making change in your community requires people—but how do you find those people? And how do you build their commitment and engagement to your work? If these are questions running through your mind, then this training is for you! Join us at Organizing Basics: Building a Base to learn how to build strong groups of activists that can take on the long-term challenges we face. We will also discuss the basics of organizing and building a political strategy. The training is free, but RSVPs are required. This training features alums of our fellowship program, so this is a great chance to meet them and learn more about the fellowship! Rising Organizers is a community of grassroots organizers that works to develop new progressive leaders and activists in order to create more effective progressive movements. We provide free public trainings throughout the year, led by alumni of Rising Organizers' fellowship program. As always, this training is free but RSVPs are required. Accessibility: - Gendered public bathrooms- Bright, standard indoor lighting- Quiet, conversational sound level- Stair and elevator access to the meeting room downstairs, ramp into the building- Hardback plastic chair seating If there are additional accommodations we can make to allow you to participate fully in the training, please message us.
