Where: C. Burr Artz Public Library at Terrace

"Matthew Pearl is the new shining star of literary fiction-a heady, inventive, and immensely gifted author. With intricate plots, classical themes, and erudite characters what's not to love?" -Dan Brown, author of The Da Vinci Code. Pearl is a graduate of Harvard University and Yale Law School. He has taught literature and creative writing at Harvard University and Emerson College. Now you can take a literary workshop with this internationally bestselling author as part of Frederick Festival of the Arts. On the library terrace if it's sunny, in the 2nd floor former tech lab if it's not. Sponsored by Frederick Reads and Frederick County Public Libraries as part of their celebration of The Big Read on poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, who is a featured character in Pearl's novel "The Dante Club."
