      2011 - 2012 Alexandria - Play & Workshop Series Program

      The Play & Workshop Series is a 90 minute weekly program for you and your child. Learn more at our website http://www.parentingplaygroups.com/playandworkshop.htm.

      The Play & Workshop Series Program meets every week except for Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years weeks. Classes begin the week of Septmber 12, 2011. There are 36 class sessions in total.


      Your child must be no older than 3 1/2 years old when starting in the Play & Workshop Program. Children under 15 months old may stay with parent during the program.

      Tuition Amounts and Payment Information:

      First Child:

      Tuition amount is $36 per class. The annual tuition amount is divided into nine installment payments. First installment is due with the completion of this enrollment. Follow on installments are due on the first of each month beginning in October 2011. Schedule of installment payments are set forth as follows:

      Installment #1: $144 due now Installment #6: $144 due 02/01/12

      Installment #2: $144 due 10/01/11 Installment #7: $144 due 03/01/12

      Installment #3: $144 due 11/01/11 Installment #8: $144 due 04/01/12

      Installment #4: $144 due 12/01/11 Installment #9: $144 due 05/01/12

      Installment #5: $144 due 01/01/12

      All monthly payments are due on or before the 1st of each month. Any payments made after the 1st will incur a $25 late fee. All payments made after this initial deposit payment should be made by check or through our recurring billing system. More information about future payments will be made available during your first class.

      Siblings:

      Tuition amount is $12 per class. The annual tuition amount is divided into nine installment payments. First installment is due with the completion of this enrollment.       The sibling discount is reserved for siblings.


      General Terms and Conditions

      Play & Workshop Series Program Missed Classes:

      Should you miss a scheduled class time; you can schedule a make-up class during the same week as your missed class in our other office. Alternatively we can provide the audio link to listen to the class.

      All make-up classes must be scheduled in advance and confirmed with a lead teacher. Programs@parentingplaygroups.com

      There are no tuition deductions for missed classes. We will also offer one or two make-up classes in June after the last week of regular classes (time and date to be announced).

      If you have scheduled a make-up class but are not able to attend, please give us a minimum of 24 hours notice. Failure to provide 24 hours notice will result in forfeit of your make-up class. Notice can be sent via email, phone or as a message left on our voice mail (703)922-0044.

      Weather Related or other Unscheduled Closings:

      Parenting Playgroups Falls Church location follows the inclement weather closing/delay practices of Fairfax county Schools. Should any class be cancelled due to weather or other unscheduled event, a makeup class will be offered. Play and Workshop programs will have an additional week in June to facilitate any needed make up classes. There are no tuition deductions for weather related or other unscheduled closings so long as make up classes are made available.

      Refund policy:

      There are no refunds given for payments made for our Children's Programs or Parent Workshops. If you make a payment and need to cancel or change plans, you can put your paid tuition towards any future Children's Program or Parent Workshop at Parenting Playgroups. If a Program or Workshop is cancelled for a power outage, weather condition or similar event, we will work to provide a make-up class or you may apply your paid tuition towards any future Children's Program or Parent Workshop at Parenting Playgroups. If we have to cancel a Program or Workshop due to low enrollment or a scheduling conflict, you can attend a make-up, apply your paid tuition towards any future Children's Program or Parent Workshop at Parenting Playgroups or we will issue a refund. If paid thru paypal, this refund will incur a small, paypal cancellation fee.

      Withdrawal from the Program:

      Written notice must be provided to Parenting Playgroups should parents wish to withdraw from the Program before completion of the year. Parents are responsible for payment of all classes up to receipt of written notice to withdraw from the Program, plus one additional class week. Parenting Playgroups will reconcile the account balance and return any amounts in excess of what is owed.

      Enrollment:

      Continuing enrollment in the Play & Workshop Program is at the discretion of both the parent and Parenting Playgroups. There is a one month trial period for Parenting Playgroups and Parent to ensure a good match for your child and other classmates. Should issues arise during the year, Parenting Playgroups will work with parents to address and rectify the situation.

      Returned Checks:

      There is a $25 charge for any check returned by the bank.

      Equal Opportunity:

      Parenting Playgroups complies with all applicable federal and state nondiscrimination laws and does not engage in prohibited discrimination in employment or the provision of services.

      Responsibility:

      In consideration of being accepted in the Program, Parent and Child each hereby release Parenting Playgroups Inc. and each of their directors, officers, employees, agents, representatives and affiliates (collectively, the "Parenting Playgroups Parties") from any and all loss, liability, damage, cost or expense arising out of Child's participation in the Program. This agreement shall be construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia without regard to principles of conflict of laws.

      Emergency Medical Authorization:

      Enrollment in the Program is contingent on completion of the Family Information Form which includes requisite medical information for your Child. Should your Child become ill, be injured or require emergency or other medical treatment during the Program, Parenting Playgroups will attempt to contact the Emergency Contact persons set forth on the Family Information Form. Should these Emergency Contact Persons be unavailable, Parent hereby requests, authorizes and gives full permission and consent to the Parenting Playgroups Parties to act on the Parent's behalf and in their stead.
